A few years ago, I was your typical office-worker: stressed out, uneven energy, overweight, and inconsistent complexion. Now I'm just your typical 28-year old urban hunter-gatherer on a quest to be healthy, and having a few adventures along the way. See my full bio.

This is hilarious. Those TV
This is hilarious. Those TV ads always drive me crazy. The only thing that makes me crazier about prescrition drugs than the TV ads is the high prices. I recently discovered a Canadian pharmacy online www.jandrugs.com that has pretty good prices. With cheaper prices and few few more comedy acts drugs are fun again. Ha ha.
"You go tell the doctor what
"You go tell the doctor what drugs you want, that's how we're doing it now."One more reason to elliminate the FDA.
I'm a pharmacist and I have
I'm a pharmacist and I have to say I love this video. So many drugs are designed for people who just want some excuse to live their shitty lifestyle without consequence. I'd much rather tell that fat person to empty their cart of the Pepsi and Delissio pizza than sell them their metformin and pantoprazole but unfortunatley thats not how the health care system works (and I'm Canadian). Its hard to reconcile a paleo/primal/whatever we're calling it today lifestyle with my five years of pharmacy schooling and career that i love. Instead of shelling out pills I want to actually help these people, but I can't. Lipitor/Celebrex/etc are all patients seem to need when in fact a diet with less Coke and McD's would probably help immensely. Anyway, huge fan of the blog and keep it up!Disaffected pharmacist from Canada, Mike

This is hiliarious. I linked to it too.
that was wonderful! the last
that was wonderful! the last part particularly fascinates me...i have often wondered the same thing for heartburn drug commercials...wouldn't it be just be easier to not eat that thing? no, it would be harder (at first) for most, but people these days have eroded wills and that kind of discipline is in my experience generally frowned upon as if it's some sort of self-mortification, which it is...it's called self denial. People think they are so advanced but they cannot even understand the signals being sent around within their own body, either they can't understand them or they choose not to, i don't know which is worse. People are numb. They think they can have it all which they can't, and even if you could, I bet you still wouldn't be satisfied.
do many people still watch
do many people still watch TV? i can think of 2 off the top of my head right now.

"Spooky burps." I am never saying "heart burn" or "acid reflux" again. "Oh no, he's fine. Just has Spooky Burps."
