A few years ago, I was your typical office-worker: stressed out, uneven energy, overweight, and inconsistent complexion. Now I'm just your typical 28-year old urban hunter-gatherer on a quest to be healthy, and having a few adventures along the way. See my full bio.

John, I could not agree
John, I could not agree more! I found an amazing source in Novy Ranch in Northern Cal. We had a tenderloin, marinated in Korean bbq, lightly grilled and wow, the most tender flavorful .. weird word here ; Gentle beef I have ever had. Thanks and love your bloga former raw veganDebbie
I think it is interesting
I think it is interesting that most people unconsciously consider humans somehow removed from the animal kingdom. The same people who would never dream of advocating feeding a tiger mashed potatoes, biscuits, and jam, would still say that humans can thrive on a variety of foods (vegan, vegetarian, omnivorous) because we are all "individuals." We are individuals! But we are also part of an evolutionary process. My cat has a personality that is completely different from other cats but they still all must eat similar carnivorous diets to be healthy. This goes the same for other animals, including humans.
Agreed! Grass fed beef
Agreed! Grass fed beef *tastes* so much better too. I'm lucky to have options on Whidbey Island for grass fed beef with prices that rival the conventional beef.
I nearly busted a darn blood
I nearly busted a darn blood vessel the other day when a vegan tried to tell me that any taste difference between grass-fed and other types of beef was psychosomatic on my part. I told him that he had no taste (literally and figuratively). This was in an idiotic argument about hypothetical vat-grown/cloned meat/tissue, which I feel shame for even wasting my time with.
As a swede I have easy access
As a swede I have easy access to wild game (I can buy it in the local store), but I also have started to buy grass fed beef from gronagardar.se. It taste so much better. Great blog by the way!
